But i don’t understand how he would if he is only taking donations
and McCain is taking donations PLUS public financing.

Obama preferred to use the money from donors and put to good use for a cleaner campaign and put their dollars to good use instead of having donors using/wasting, money for smear/swiftboat adds, that he isnt aware of like 527s of past candidates elections.
